The Pella City Council has several items to review at their meeting this evening, setting up several long-term infrastructure projects. They will review change orders for phase two of the Pella Sports Park, an engineering services contract for a wildlife fence at the Pella Municipal Airport, and a use agreement with American Legion Post 89 for use of the Pella Memorial Building. An ordinance enforcing stop signs on 240th Place at University Street will also be considered. Mayor Jim Mueller will also swear in new Pella Police officer Elmer “JR” Pearson and make a proclamation relating to National Garden Week. The Pella City Council meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Complex.
