Two area girls golf players finished their state meets. Knoxville’s Amy Sullivan placed in a tie for 52nd with a total of 212 after finishing round one with a 110 she improved by eight shots to a 102 in the second round at the class 3A State Girls Golf Meet at Otter Creek in Ankeny. Sullivan and the rest of the 3A field had better weather to deal with on the second day of competition. Melcher-Dallas’s Kynser Reed tied for 62nd with a final round 103. She had a two-day total of 216 after a first round 113.
