The Tulip City girls soccer teams had zero issues in their regional playoff openers with both the Lady Dutch and Eagles enacting the mercy rule on their opponents 10-0. Pella throttled Mt. Pleasant, with the game ending in the 64th minute. Grace Held scored four times and Macy Schulz knocked in two goals.

Pella Christian had a similar story against Centerville, hitting 10 goals before the end of regulation. Avey Amelse struck the back of the net four times — three in the first ten minutes, and Lindsay Breon scored twice for the Eagles.

Pella Christian heads to Holy Trinity Friday in the 1A regional semifinals, while the No. 6 Lady Dutch host No. 9 Norwalk in the regional finals with a state tournament bid on the line Monday night.
