Indianola’s Katie Kralik and Brooke Tucker limited Pella to just one run as the Indians swept the Lady Dutch softball team 4-0, 4-1 to start Little Hawkeye Conference play last night in a doubleheader heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Kralik and Tucker split duties in each game, with both pitchers throwing a total of seven innings.  Kralik allowed just three hits and struck out six, while Tucker gave up the lone Pella tally on six hits and struck out seven.

Offensively, Indianola’s Bella Bingeman had an RBI single in game one, while Kassie Baker added a sac fly to score a run, and in game two, Emily Chaplin and Selia Becker each had two run singles.  Pella got on the board in the fifth inning of the nightcap on an Emma Plemia RBI double.

The Lady Dutch fall to 4-4, and start LHC play 0-2, while the Indians are 9-2 and 2-0.  Up next for Indianola is a home game against Ottumwa tonight live on 94.3 KNIA, while Pella returns to Warren County tomorrow night to play Norwalk.
