operation-clean-sweep

In May, Knoxville city officials vowed to clean up the town by introducing Operation Clean Sweep to the community. Starting Monday, the city’s Code Enforcement Department will begin inspecting properties in Knoxville.

According to Knoxville Police Chief Dan Losada, inspectors will be checking all properties around town for code violations emphasising on three main areas, lawns littered with old junk, lawns that need mowed and abandoned vehicles. Code Enforcement officers will leave door hangers after each exterior inspection is completed.

The overall goal is to encourage a clean and healthy environment for the community and pride in local properties.
