The Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad recorded an 8-1 victory over Seymour last night. The Saints scored seven of their eight runs in the first two innings to make the outcome less in doubt. Haley Godfrey went 2/4 on the night while Riley Enfield led in the RBI category with two. Emilie Krpan went the distance in the circle allowing four hits and one run while striking out nine. The baseball Saints fell to the Warriors 2-1. Blaise Cooper went 2/4 with the only run batted in. Eric Karpan took the hard luck loss going the distance and scattering five hits with six strikeouts. The baseball squad hosts Ankeny Christian today at five.
