The Indianola softball team rode two big bombs of home runs to victory in a 7-1 win over Pella Christian, as heard live on 94.3 KNIA. Destiny Lewis continued her red-hot start in the first inning, crushing a laser-shot home run to give the Indians a 1-0 lead. After an Eagles error led to two runs in the second, the big blast of the night came in the 4th on a grand slam from pitcher Brooke Tucker. Tucker also got the win in the circle, facing the minimum 12 batters in four innings of one-hit ball. However, Pella Christian was able to muster a mini-rally, highlighted by an RBI single from Emma Pleima in the 7th inning.

Pella Christian falls to 3-6 on the season, and head to Grinnell for a pair of games Monday.

The Indians are 11-3 on the year and are off until they hit the road to Dallas Center-Grimes on Monday.
