The Indianola Public Library is hosting Apollo 13 Escape Rooms today for teens and adults, where participants must work together to solve a puzzle, save the mission, and bring everyone back safely to earth. Alison Brown with the library tells KNIA News the escape room is a fun event for the older kids who use the library, but one that fits in with the theme of the summer reading program.

“It is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, so libraries across the country are working with this theme. So you’ll find a lot of sciency-type elements to programs, a lot of STEM work, a lot of building things, hands on programs. And of course lots of programs to get people moving.”

Sessions begin at 3pm and 4pm today, with registration still open for both. For more information, click below.
