The Pella Youth Coalition is hosting a two part event aimed at educating all in the area about the impact addiction has on brain development and health. Dr. Annette Bosworth with Meaningful Medicine presents the Brains of Addiction, From Trauma to Repair on Friday, June 21st from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday, June 22nd from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Central College Graham Annex. Bosworth speaks around the region about the impacts addictions of all forms have on brain development, and the two day presentation will focus not only on the damage done, but how to heal and improve the lives of those impacted. The event is free and open to all, with 7th to 12th grade students, their families, caregivers, emergency responders, education professionals, church and youth leaders encouraged to attend in particular by the Pella Youth Coalition.
