Opportunities are still available for Indianola residents to help the City of Indianola provide adequate police presence during the RAGBRAI overnight stay on July 23rd, with the Adopt-A-Cop Program. Organizer Rob Keller tells KNIA News how people can help.

“So each cop is $250 to adopt, and we need 30 officers on the day of the event to make it successfully safe. And we need those 30 officers paid for, so you can go to the Indianola RAGBRAI website or find it on Facebook, and click on sponsors, and it’s right there. It’s an easy and good way to make a contribution to the event.”

Residents can also Adopt-A-Pot for $100, and help provide a portable toilet for the event.
