Pleasantville Baseball took on Winterset on Tuesday and fell to the Huskies 9-1. Austin McMillan took the loss to the Trojans. Pleasantville will get back to the West Central Conference Thursday with a varsity double header against Madrid. Playing varsity double headers is a new thing for Coach Sheldon Card and his team this season as there were rarely twin bills in the Pride of Iowa Conference. Card tells KNIA Sports he has new challenges with the state pitch count rule in navigating these double headers. Pleasantville’s record in the varsity double headers this season is 9-3. First pitch of game one is scheduled for five tomorrow night.
