Chances for severe weather and heavy rainfall return to the forecast Friday. According to the National Weather Service, a slight risk of both severe weather and excessive precipitation has been issued for mainly the afternoon and evening. Strong, scattered thunderstorms capable of producing large hail, damaging winds, and torrential rain are all possible. Thunderstorm chances continue throughout the weekend.
