The Simpson Storm softball team had 16 players placed on the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Scholar-Athlete list for the past season. Emily Bell, Camrey Leo and Kayla Reusche all maintained a perfect 4.0 GPA to pace the team. Lizzy Adams, Ashley Allen, Olivia Allen, Amron Born, Mackenzie DePhillips, Brooke Fonley, Kelli Hanson, Mary Leopold, Claire Oetting, Georgia Porter, Randie Richmond, Kayley Thomas and Kat Velasquez were also recognized for their achievements in the classroom. To be selected, a student-athlete must have a GPA of at least 3.5, and the Storm as a team had a GPA of 3.68.
