Several Tulip City soccer players earned the highest-honor from the Iowa High School Soccer Coaches Association. Grace Held, a three-time Iowa Girls Coaches Association First-Team All-Stater, earned the honor for the 2nd time from soccer coaches. TJosie Lickteig and Hailey Kowzan were honorable mentions. The Lady Dutch finished in the state tournament for the third time in the last four seasons. Pella Christian defender Anna Van Zee and Lindsay Breon were also honorable mention in Class 1A. The Eagles fell in the Regional Final for the 2nd time in three years. For the boys, Pella’s Nathan Leathers and Ben Nelson were honorable mention in Class 2A. Both were members of the 2018 state champion Dutch, who fell to Knoxville in the substate final this spring.
