The Pleasantville Softball Squad got an impressive win over class 4A #9 Ballard Saturday at the Ankeny Invitational 11-7. The Trojans got out to a 4-0 lead early on only to see the Bombers plate seven runs in the third inning to take the lead. Pleasantville started chipping away using the long ball as Taylor Foley had one home run and Abby DeJoode clubbed two over the fence. Dejoode also got the win in the circle. Game two the Trojans stepped up in completion even more with class 5A Ankeny and fell 9-1. Faith Vanderhart took the loss. Pleasantville takes on Des Moines Christian on Monday.
