Emilie Krpan’s one hit gem powered the Melcher-Dallas Softball Squad to a 5-0 win over Seymour last night. Both teams played to a scoreless stalemate until the fourth inning when the Saints opened up on the Warriors with four runs and taking advantage of six Seymour errors in the game. DoraMae Bennet drove in three of the Saints five runs. Krpan was dealing in the circle again, fanning 11 Seymour batters bringing her season total to 187 which moves her into the top five in class 1A, and in the top 20 regardless of class. The Saints travel to Diagonal tonight.
