Class 1A #13 Twin Cedars came away with a split at Belle Plaine on Monday night. The Sabers fell to fellow class 1A #15 Plainsmen 6-3. Twin Cedars took the early lead in the top of the first, but errors cost the Sabers runs down the line. Grace Bailey took the loss, she also homered in the game. Game two of the triangular was against West Marshall and the Sabers got back in order with an 8-5 win. The Sabers jumped out quickly and put it on cruise control after a 6-1 start. Ali Mockenhaupt got the win going five innings. Mockenhaupt also went 4/4 with three RBI. Twin Cedars is now 27-4, and with four wins can break the all time single season wins record for softball at Twin Cedars. The Sabers travel to Tri-County tonight.
