A week from today the Marion County Fair will begin with this year’s theme being “Christmas in July.” The fair, which has been around since the late 1800’s, offers annual events such as 4H and FFA livestock judging and gardening competitions among other activities. Friday, July 12th will also feature a performance from John Michael Montgomery and Jo Dee Messina on the racetrack infield at 8 pm with gates opening at 6 pm. The fair will run from Friday, July 12th through Thursday, July 18th. The KNIA/KRLS Big Red Radio will be on location during the entirety of the Marion County Fair giving live updates on 92.1 KRLS and AM 1320 and FM 95.3 and 94.3 KNIA, playing music, making announcements, and providing local information.
