The Pleasantville Kids of Summer are back on the diamonds tonight with the baseball guys traveling to West Marshall and the girls hosting class 4A #1 ranked Carlisle. The two teams have not met as much in recent seasons as Carlisle has grown and wanted to play a more 4A/5A schedule to ready itself for the postseason. This season, however, both teams had an opening on the schedule and decided to, if just for one season renew the Highway Five Rivalry. Coach Jan Haugen tells KNIA Sports his girls are not shying away from the game, evidence in his pitcher Abby DeJoode asked if she could start against Carlisle. The class 2A #3 Trojans and Wildcats will get going tonight at seven.
