One of the youngest softball squads in Iowa has finished the regular season. With 11 of the 19 girls on the roster listed as an eighth grader, PCM went 9-18 under first year coach Shaun Hudnut and ended the regular season with an 8-4 win over Baxter on Friday, breaking a seven game losing streak. Hudnut tells KRLS Sports they likely won more games that what outsiders figured, and credit to the girls who he says worked hard this season and have a drive to improve the program. Hudnut adds in one season he says the culture started to change for the better. The Mustangs head into the class 3A regional this Wednesday at Centerville.
