The location and development of a new Warren County Shop for the Engineer’s Office has been settled, south of Indianola on Nevada St, but approval and funding is still in the hands of the Warren County Board of Supervisors. Warren County Engineer David Carroll tells KNIA News a study done in 2011 that laid out the need for a new shop, and showed that the location south of Indianola would allow for more coverage in the county and allow them to better serve constituents. Carroll also said he understands hesitation to move forward with the project with the bond measure for the Justice Center Project, another upcoming bond for major highway repair this fall, and the replacement of the Warren County 911 system, but added that a new shop also would increase public safety in the county.
