The Knoxville Softball Squad will start its postseason run as the Panthers will host Gilbert in a first round class 4A regional. Knoxville like last season has finished the regular season on a roll winning six of its final seven games and finishing second place in the South Central Conference. Gilbert is 19-20 on the season and ranked at or near the top of the Heart of Iowa Conference in most offensive categories. The Panthers hope tonight is not a reprise of last season’s first round game where they also came in on a winning streak and was promptly halted by Dallas Center-Grimes in a run rule contest.
