In their regular season finale and picking up where the lightning left them last week, the Eagles baseball team was swept by Oskaloosa Thursday night. Pella Christian picked up in game one in the top of the 5th, but only scored an unearned run and fell 12-1. The Eagles committed five errors and stranded 11 in the game two against the Indians, falling 10-7. The bat was taken off of Will Dembski’s shoulders after hitting seven home runs in his previous four games, as he was intentionally walked during all trips to the plate. The Eagles finish the regular season at .500 and in 6th place in the Little Hawkeye Conference at 10-11. Pella Christian next plays in the Class 2A district opener at home against Union on Saturday, with first pitch at 7 p.m. in a game that can be heard live on 92.1 KRLS.
