The two Marion County rivals will meet in Bussey tonight in the class 1A softball regional semi-final. Both have had great seasons with the Sabers holding a 29-8 record while Melcher-Dallas counters with a 26-5 record. The game may come down to who has the better pitching performance and plays better defense. Sabers Coach Zack Dunkin tells KRLS Sports he wants his girls to play Saber softball. The Sabers will have a choice of Grace Bailey or Ali Mockenhaupt in the circle tonight. Bailey has both victories over the Saints combining for nine strikeouts in both games. A win by the Sabers would give them a ticket to the regional final on Monday against either BCLUW or Wayne.
