Melcher-Dallas’s Emilie Krpan held the Twin Cedars Sabers to just two hits and led the Saints to a seven/two win over their arch-rivals in the class 1A regional semi-final last night. The Saints took advantage of four errors by the Sabers and jumped on top four/nothing. After Twin Cedars got back two runs in the third, Melcher-Dallas would score three more in the fourth. Angel Beaty went 3/3 on the night with an RBI. The Sabers only two hits were by Riley Dunkin and Brooke Roby, who drove in both of the Sabers runs. Grace Bailey took the loss for Twin Cedars striking out five while Krpan struck out eight. Twin Cedars finishes the season at 29-9 and Melcher-Dallas is now 27-5 and will play Wayne in Monday’s regional final as the Falcons stunned #5 BCLUW. The game will be at Wayne.
