The PCM Softball Squad may have been one of the youngest teams in Iowa this summer. With 11 of the 19 girls on the roster eighth graders it was at times an interesting line up. Coach Shaun Hudnut tells KRLS Sports while there were struggles along the way winning games and playing well, he says many people underestimated the girls due to playing softball during the offseason on travel teams. Hudnut adds the travel teams, which are locally operated by parents have been good for the players and he sees a huge improvement coming into nest summer. The Mustangs finished the season 9-19.
