The Indianola baseball team is headed to the substate final game tomorrow, after taking down Lewis Central 8-1 Monday evening. The Titans got ahead early 1-0, but that would be all the action Lewis Central would get against Indians starter Tyce Johnson. Johnson went the complete game, giving up just three hits in the victory. The Indians struck for a pair of runs in the third to take a lead they wouldn’t give back. Another four runs in the fourth broke the game open, with a 2-RBI single from Aiden Freshly. The Indians added another run in the fifth and the seventh to seal the victory, which marks their 8th victory in a row. The Indians will now play Johnston tomorrow evening at 7pm in the substate final, with the winner going to the state tournament.
