Summer activities will continue this weekend at Lake Red Rock, even as the season starts to wind down for many. Geocaching will be held at Whitebreast Campground this evening at 7 p.m. Pond exploration starts Saturday morning at 9:00 at the Playscape, followed by an appearance by Bobber the Water Safety Dog at 10:00 a.m. at Howell Station Campground. An Owl Puke investigation begins at 2:00 Saturday afternoon at the Visitor Center. All of these activities are free and do not require pre registration. Paddle to Hickory Ridge will take place next Friday, August 2nd from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Whitebreast Campground,in which participants can leisurely paddle in a kayak to the HIckory Ridge Wilderness Campground. A limited number of kayaks are available, and those who need to borrow them need to be 16 years old, and adults must accompany any minors participating in the activity. Registration is required for the kayak event next week.
