One of the games of the boys basketball season went the way of the Indians in a Little Hawkeye Conference clash, as Indianola outlasted Pella in an overtime thriller 89-86. Indianola’s Evan Gauger and Pella’s Logan Shetterly went blow-for-blow in the nightcap ending up with 31 and 32 points respectively as the night rained down shots from beyond the arc. Twenty-eight three point shots were made in the contest, with eight different players scoring in double figures. The game was close throughout, until an Indianola run late put them up 11 points with 4 minutes to play, but Pella would not give up and hit several late shots to force an overtime period before Indianola eventually took the win.
