Today we begin the countdown of the top sports stories for the 2018/2019 school year at Pleasantville High School. The Trojan Football Squad were playing the role of spoiler in a week seven game against Woodward-Granger as Pleasantville drubbed the Hawks in a 27-7 upset victory that knocked Woodward-Granger out of playoff contention. The Trojans used the ground game with two 100 yard rushers being led by Cael Anthony’s 122 yards on 16 carries and two touchdowns, plus Cael Lester’s 118 yards on 26 attempts and one score. Pleasantville was equally up to the task defensively getting three Woodward-Granger fumbles. Pleasantville would go on to finish 3-6 last fall.
