Today we begin the countdown of the top sports stories for the 2018/2019 school year at Twin Cedars High School. For three seasons, the girls basketball program was not very competitive. The Sabers from 2016-2018 went a combined 4-59. This past season the Sabers won more games in one season than they did all three seasons combined going 6-17. New Coach Trent Verwers installed a more aggressive system and the girls responded by being more competitive. Verwers tells KRLS Sports there is a lot left to do, but he was happy with progress his team made throughout the season. Verwers has a young team to work with and many of the girls who contributed last season will return this year.
