The Indianola girls high school track and field team had high expectations coming into the 2019 spring season, and one of those expectations was met in a big way at the state meet at the Drake Blue Oval. Alivia Bauer ended with a fifth place finish in all of class 4A in the discus throw, with a throw of 124-03. Coming in, Bauer had the second longest throw in class 4A with a toss of 139, winning a conference championship as well. The Indians girls squad sent 15 separate events to the state track and field meet this season.
