The Helping Hand in Indianola held a giveaway Wednesday afternoon, providing local families with new school clothes and sports gear for the upcoming school year. Gear was provided for sports ranging from football and basketball to dance and soccer, while school clothes included backpacks, coats, shoes, and jeans. All the items that were awarded Wednesday were donated by local residents and companies. The Helping Hand is an organization dedicated to providing assistance to Warren County persons who need food, clothing, and household items at no cost to them. The Helping Hand is open for normal hours on Thursdays and Saturdays from 9-11am, and Tuesdays from 12:30 to 2:30pm.
