The arrival of the Twin Cedars Softball Squad brings us to out number two sports story for the Sabers in 2018/2019. In back-to-back seasons…Twin Cedars won a combined six games. In 2018 the Sabers upped that to 13…and this season surpassed that and tied a school record for the most wins in program history with 29 and storming through the Bluegrass Conference unbeaten and largely uncallenged. Coach Zack Dunkin told KRLS Sports having an unbeaten record in the conference was not really talked about…and some of the 29 wins was against good compeition. The Sabers would get to the class one-A regional semi-final before losing to arch rival Melcher-Dallas.
