A new sports season is upon us as high school athletes come in for their first official fall practices this week all over south central Iowa. Many were at various team camps over the last week for football, volleyball, and cross country, and now will begin the countdown to the first round of activities starting as classes start on or after August 23rd. Award-winning high school sports coverage will continue on the airwaves on KNIA/KRLS, with the ongoing Radio Sports Page every Wednesday at 6 p.m., the first Jeromy Dingeman Concrete Football Friday Night Radio Preview Show on Friday, August 23rd, and football play-by-play of Pella, Pella Christian, Knoxville, Indianola, PCM, and Pleasantville on the air and on our web streams starting August 30th. Daily coverage of high school volleyball and cross country can be heard on the local sports report during our news magazines throughout the week and found online at KNIAKRLS.com each morning. Interviews with local coaches will air during the Knoxville Hy-Vee Radio Coaches Corner every Saturday at 10 a.m. on 92.1 KRLS and 9 a.m. on 95.3, 94.3 KNIA.
