The Marion County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session today. The board will consider a resolution to designate certain highways to permit the operation of all-terrain and off-road utility vehicles for the Seeds of Hope Foundation Ranger Ride and Poker Run. The board will consider resolutions to award contracts to Norris Asphalt Paving Co. Inc. for the resurfacing of parts of Hwy G46 and Old Hwy 92 for approximately $ 2.7 million dollars, among other road resurfacing projects. They will consider appointing Dr. Martha Errthum as Deputy Medical Examiner. The board will consider a resolution to approve Marion County representation in the Boone, Jasper, Marion and Warren Counties Regional Housing Trust Fund. They will hold a discussion and take possible action regarding the Class C Native Wine License renewal application for Nearwood Winery as well as hear a Marion County Treasurer update regarding county funds investment. The board will also hold a closed session in which they will discuss strategy with counsel in matters that are presently in litigation or where litigation is imminent. The meeting will begin at 9 am at the Marion County Courthouse.
