A year removed from being a game away from winning the American Rivers Conference, the Simpson Storm football team has been picked to finish 4th in the preseason coaches poll. The Storm, who finished last season with a 7-3 overall record and 6-2 in ARC play, are picked to finish behind Wartburg, Central, and Dubuque. The Storm will have to replace many skill position players, but bring back ARC Defensive Player of the Year in linebacker Michael Connor, and quarterback Tanner Krueger (kreeger), as well as all-conference selections safety Brendan Holmes, lineman Trey Chumbley and linebacker Joe Weppler. The Storm get their season started on September 7th at Bethel University in Minnesota.
