The annual Tracy Festival will begin today and will run through Sunday, August 25th. Despite an EF-1 tornado that passed through the town Tuesday morning, all activities and events are on as scheduled. The festival will kick off with a t-shirt and 5k packet pickup at 6:30 pm followed by a movie in the park at 7:30 pm. On Saturday the festivities begin with a pancake breakfast hosted by the Christian Reformed Church from 7am to 10am, a car show will be held at 10 am, and a Kid’s Zone will feature different games and activities throughout the day. Games include old time games like sack races and egg on a spoon. The day will top off with three bands that will begin playing at 3:30 pm running through 10 pm. The annual 5k is scheduled to begin at 8 am and will be held one block south of the fire station. The annual event will come to a close with a community church service Sunday at 10:30 am.
