What started the 2019 Knoxville Raceway season was what ended it, rain. Four A-Mains and three track champions were crowned on Saturday as Russ Hall won the Pro Sprints A-Main, Gio Scelzi took his second 410 A-Main of 2019, while Carson McCarl won the season ending feature and Jamie Ball won a rain shortened make up feature from June 22nd being declared the winner with 17 of the 20 laps completed. Also decided were the track championships as Matthew Stelzer won the Pro Sprints title…, McCarl won the 360 championship, and Brian Brown clinched the 410 title after time trials when he set quick time. The night was also one of the strangest nights in memory as several red flags and a ton of restarts plus a short rain delay in the 410 A-Main made the night longer than expected. Also flagging his final sprint car races was veteran starter Doug Clark…who will return officially after the Late Model Nationals in September.
