An offensive explosion showed what the No. 5 Pella football offense is capable of after a 55-20 road win over No. 10 Mt. Pleasant, as heard live on 92.1 KRLS.

Pella found paydirt on five of their first six offensive drives, taking advantage of two key turnovers, and showed off the capabilities of the two quarterback system between Aaron Downs and Ryan Mace.

Downs finished with 4 TD and 136 yards rushing, all in the first half, and Mace threw for 265 yards, with 2 passing scores and one on the ground. Head Coach Jay McKinstrey says after a shaky start in week one, this was the high-octane attack he knew the Dutch were capable of.

Pella improves to 2-0 and welcomes Norwalk to town Friday.
