The 2nd annual Your Life Matters 5k will be held this morning at Knoxville High School. Registration will begin at 7 am and is $20 for adults and $15 for anyone 17 years of age and younger. This year the event will feature guest speakers Austin Little and Mary Neubauer. Last year, the run featured over 500 participants and raised over $15,000 for suicide prevention awareness. Proceeds from this year’s 5k will go towards scheduling mental health speaker Jeff Yalden, who will visit Knoxville September 30th through October 1st to speak with the community as well as Knoxville students. The KNIA/KRLS Lil’s Big Red Radio will be on location playing music and making announcements. The run is scheduled to start at 8 am.
