The Knoxville Volleyball Squad wanted a challenge, and the Class 4A #13 Panthers got it from class 3A #15 Albia in a three sets to one victory over the Lady Dees on Tuesday 28-30, 25-22, 25-21, and 25-23. The Panthers faced the rare moment of adversity falling in the first set but sweeping the next three. Coach Mollie Keitges told KRLS Sports her girls started to become more aggressive as the match wore on. Katie Keitges led a balanced kill attack with 16 while Reilly Finarty had ten and Tara Uitermarkt came up with nine. Marley McKay had 40 assists…and Lauren Micetich was 21/24 serving with three aces. Knoxville stays unbeaten at 9-0 and 2-0 in South Central Conference play. The Panthers are off until next Tuesday when Davis County pays a visit.
