No. 14 in 4A Pella won the first two sets in close fashion but could not close as No. 13 in 5A Indianola completed a comeback over the Lady Dutch in Pella Tuesday (25-23, 25-22, 15-25, 19-25, 12-15).

Pella was paced by a 9 kill night by Ella Corbn and four aces from Meridith Rowe. The Lady Dutch fall to 7-2 and head to the Southeast Polk tournament Saturday.

The Pella Christian volleyball team was swept by No. 9 in 4A Norwalk on the road (12-25, 19-25, 12-25). The Eagles couldn’t find any rhythm on offense, hitting below zero percent as a team with 24 errors. Pella Christian did tally 14 blocks in the match. The Eagles are off until they host Indianola Tuesday.

Indianola improves to 8-3, and also heads to SE Polk for tournament play this weekend before the matchup with the Eagles looms.
