Pella, Knoxville, and PCM all competed at the Grinnell Invitational Tuesday. Pella’s boys were 2nd with 72 points to Carlisle, who scored 30. Knoxville was 9th in the field and PCM placed 12th. Pella’s Cutler Turner was the fastest among local individuals, placing 9th (17.47.9), with teammates Tony Schmitz (11th – 17:59.3) and Thomas Gaul (13th-18:12) close behind. Knoxville’s Seth Walrave, Jordan Bacon, and Kaden McGill all finished 38th through 40th and within 3 seconds of each other, all just above the 19 minute mark. PCM’s Beau Webb paced the Mustangs with a 43rd place finish at 19:15.

The Lady Dutch were the 5th fastest girls team, followed by Knoxville in 8th and PCM in 12th. Norah Pearson of the Panthers was the 3rd fastest individual girl at 19:17.3, followed by Pella’s Caroline McMartin in 5th at 19:34.1. Paige Steenhoek of PCM was 27th at 22:04.4 to lead the Mustangs.

The Dutch next head to Ballard Monday, PCM next travels to Pleasantville that same day, and Knoxville is off until Oskaloosa’s home meet next Tuesday.
