Several local athletes and one team remains in the latest cross country rankings voted on by the Iowa High School Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. Pella’s boys are the 7th team ranked in Class 3A, while the girls fell out of the standings. Josiah Wittenberg is the 7th rated individual in the class as well. Lady Dutch runner Caroline McMartin is the 18th rated individual in 3A, following Knoxville’s Norah Pearson at 13th. Riley Dunkin of Twin Cedars is ranked 10th in the 1A girls field. Emery Sage of Melcher-Dallas is ranked 18th among 1A boys, and J’Lyn Knutson of the Saints is the 20th ranked 1A girl. Indianola’s Emily Naughton is ranked 11th among 4A girls.
