The racing begins tonight for the 16th annual Lucas Oil Late Model Nationals. Tonight will be the first night of three nights of racing that leads up to the 100-Lap main event on Saturday with drivers vying for the $40,000 prize. The Late Model Nationals will be the last races of the 2019 racing season at the Knoxville Raceway. Events will be held throughout Knoxville to celebrate as well as welcome the Late Model fans to Knoxville. On Friday, Late Model Driver Brandon Sheppard and his car owner Mark Richards will be featured at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum at 11:00 a.m. Sheppard and Richards will be this year’s subject of a Q&A interview at the museum with the interview being conducted by 2014 National Sprint Car Hall of Fame inductee Dave Argabright. Fans are welcome to attend with paid admission to the museum. On Saturday, the Knoxville Late Model Nationals Auction will be held at the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum at noon.
