The Seventh-Annual DMACC Small Business Award Recipients were announced Tuesday at the 2019 Small Business Awards Ceremony held at the FFA Enrichment Center on the DMACC Ankeny Campus. Peace Tree Brewing in Knoxville and G.I. Warehouse in Pella were both recognized. Peace Tree Brewing received the Most Innovative Company award while G.I. Warehouse Corp was recognized as the 2019 Small Business of the Year. The DMACC Small Business Awards Ceremony recognizes the achievements of area businesses and their influential impact on the Central Iowa economy, while also honoring the work and success of regional small business owners and providing an opportunity to network and strengthen the small business community. A portion of the proceeds from the ceremony will go towards supporting scholarships for the DMACC Entrepreneurship program.
