There will be two new head coaches on Panther Drive this summer in Knoxville. We told you earlier that Turner Devore is the new baseball coach for Knoxville, and now Knoxville has hired a new softball coach. Carla Smith, who was an assistant the past two seasons for the Panthers, has accepted the job as head coach. Smith is a teacher in the Knoxville School District and was coach at Creston for two years before coming to Knoxville. Smith replaces Coy Hupfeld who stepped down after this past season.
