Another key to Knoxville’s success on the gridiron this season is that the Panthers are a threat to throw the football. Last season the Panthers averaged just 34 yards passing per game, this season while not lighting it up, the Panthers do have a passing attack that does not make them a one-demential offense. Last week against Chariton, Kieren Nichols threw for 117 yards and a touchdown, which was the most yards passing in a game since week nine of the 2017 season. Coach Eric Kellar tells KRLS Sports Nichols has worked hard at his throwing and is happy to have a passing attack to go along with the Panthers rushing game. Knoxville will see its passing game tested against a Pella defense that is allowing 134 yards passing per game this season. The Panthers and the Little Dutch tee it up Friday night at 7:30 a game you can hear on 92.1 KRLS and 95.3 KNIA.
