The 2019 Knoxville Cancer Relay is preparing for its 6th straight year in Knoxville. The event which will be held Thursday, October 24th through Friday, October 25th is still accepting title sponsors with a sponsorship deadline of tomorrow for any person or organization who would like to have their names added to this year’s shirt. Cost is $1,000 to be a title sponsor but individual runners for this years relay have also set up their own Facebook pages and are also accepting sponsors. The 2019 Knoxville Cancer Relay will begin with a kickoff event on Thursday, October 24th at 7pm at Ken Lock Stadium. This year the relay will feature a special Memory/Honor mile that will be marked along Highway 14. People can make donations for signs to honor those who have battled or are currently fighting cancer with the signs to be placed along a special one-mile stretch at the end of the route. The relay will conclude at the start of the Knoxville football game at Ken Locke stadium.
